Moroccan Oil is a modified (and heavily branded) form of Argan oil. Argan oil is the main ingredient in Moroccan Oil, but the oil has additives. The additives include silicones (Cyclomethicone and Dimethicone), Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, and other ingredients. These ingredients assist in the smoothing of the hair and also act to strengthen your locks.
Both are great hair care products. The lesson here, is that while they are both great hair care products, only one of them is in its purest form. This is the Argan Oil. Moroccan Oil is great too, but it includes enhancing ingredients that help with smoothing frizz in hair. Argan oil is also more versatile and is used for food, hair, skin and nails. Moroccan oil is designed more for hair.
Hope this helps to debunk some myths or answer some questions concerning the difference in the two products.
