Trichoptilosis (split ends) are super annoying, aren’t they? A split end happens when the hair fiber splits. Split ends can happen just one time, at the end of your hair fiber. Or you can get a hair fiber that has split all the way up, multiple times. Split ends don’t always happen at the ends. They can happen in the middle, making your hair appear more thin or stringy. We do a lot of things that cause split ends or hair damage. Let’s do a few things right, to try to reverse this bad habit.
First, I’m gonna put it out there. You can never reverse split ends. You can “treat” them or even “prevent” them, but you will most certainly not be curing them or finding a product that will glue the end back together. Let’s talk prevention.
Aggressive Styling
Stop teasing your hair (I won’t!) But this does cause damage, so if you back comb your hair, you are causing breakage. But I just feel like if back combing is wrong, I don’t want to be right. 🙂
Comb your hair gently! Don’t get overly aggressive, folks. Your hair is your friend. Repeat that while you are brushing your hair, if you have to. 🙂 Image from Fashionisers.

The cold rinse really does work! I started doing it and it made my ends so much better! I highly recommend it! Also, does a honey mask help your split ends???
